The AIR-Tools mark
What it says, and what it does not.
You are probably here because you saw this mark on an organisation’s website. This page explains what it stands for. It is deliberately short: everything on the mark has to still be true in five years.
What this means
AIR-Tools is an information security platform. It keeps track of an organisation’s systems, suppliers and agreements, flags where risk builds up and turns that into concrete steps. An organisation carrying this mark works on that continuously.
Does it name a standard?
Some organisations carry a variant with a standard named on it, for example “Preparing for ISO 27001”. That is exactly what it says: they are preparing. It is not a progress score, not a partial certificate and not a judgement from us about how far along they are. The organisation states for itself what it is preparing for.
This is not a certification
We have not audited the organisation carrying this mark. No audit was performed, no assessment against a standard was made and no verdict was reached, not by us and not on our instruction. The mark is not a seal and not a certificate. It says work on information security is ongoing, not that any particular level has been reached.
A certificate such as NEN 7510 or ISO 27001 is issued by an accredited auditor, after examination, on a given date. That is a different thing, and neither replaces the other. The mark is meant to sit next to such a certificate, never in place of one.
The mark tracks nobody
The image is served from air-tools.nl, but we record nothing when it loads: no IP address, no referring page, no cookie, no measurement. A visitor to the site you came from is not a visitor to us.
